Situated in the Cool Climate region of the Elgin Valley is a cheerful boutique winery called South Hill Vineyards. A South facing farm which is how it got its name, happens to have the coolest climate of all the wineries in Elgin and the producer of suburb high-quality boutique wine gems.

 

On arrival, you’ll be welcomed by an energetically vibrant, happy and colourful tasting lounge. The walls are hung with playful kaleidoscope pieces of art to enjoy while you do a relaxed wine tasting, after go get lost in the estate vineyard maze for a bit of fun.  

 

Get ready to be schooled in the way in cool climate wines by one of our all time favourite passionate rebel winemakers Koen Roose. Koen is doing some drop-dead gorgeous wines in Elgin which will make your knees weak and your palate swoon. Exclusive private tastings are done in a modern glass lounge with panoramic views, giving you the best views in the valley. 

 

The next estate gives you a whole new impressive view of Elgin with beautiful their sunny terraces and comfortable outdoor lounge nooks to sit back and relax as you “unwined” and sip the midday away on their seriously elegant wines.

 

After a full morning of wine to head off to soak it all up with a heavenly vineland lunch and salt experience.   

 

End the day tasting one of the world's top ten Chardonnays by Paul Cluver, along with his other range of superb wines.
